AN OXFORDSHIRE MP is opposed to a potential £3bn Oxford to Cambridge expressway cutting through green belt land.
Henley MP John Howell said he is of 'the firm opinion' that any route 'should utilise existing roads wherever possible rather than carve a new path through green belt land to the south of Oxford.'
He made the remarks in an email sent to campaigners who are opposed to the road being built the route south of Oxford. Highways England is looking at potential routes for the scheme.
