MORE than 100 children in Cherwell enjoyed the holiday hubs put on to keep them active throughout half term
Cherwell District Council said 183 children took part in the holiday scheme at The Cooper School in Bicester and the North Oxfordshire Academy in Banbury.
This brings the total number of people taking advantage of the council run holiday hubs to 3,226.
Cherwell District Council deputy leader George Reynolds said: “I’d like to say a big thank you to all of the children who participated in this year’s hubs programme.
“Their hard work and sense of fun has helped give the sessions a great feeling of team spirit, helping make it a fun way to spend the holidays for both regulars and newcomers.
“We’re also grateful to all the parents who gave the hubs their vote of confidence.”
The holiday hubs, which ran from October 23, included a host of sports, games, arts and crafts for children across the ages.
Organisers are now working towards plans for the 2018 holiday programme.
