THE head of the Royal Air Force will today visit RAF Brize Norton to celebrate humanitarian efforts in the Caribbean following Hurricane Irma.
Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Hillier will visit the base to meet with airmen and women involved in Operation Ruman, which supported the British Virgin Islands after the disaster.
Teams deployed from the base returned this month after more than a month of providing aid, including food, water and building materials, and transporting islanders to safety.
