NEW street lights are being provided in South Oxford as part of a county council improvement programme.
From Monday lights in New Hinksey are being replaced with new steel columns and higher quality energy-saving lighting.
Streets where work will take place include Bertie Place, Canning Crescent, Chatham Road and Edith Road.
The work is part of a £3.8m programme to upgrade 3,200 street lights in the county.
Funding for the scheme comes from a £2.8m government grant and £1m of county council capital funding.
