OXFORDSHIRE beer lovers are rejoicing after a popular ale was brought back to local pubs.

Brewer Hook Norton, based in the Oxfordshire town of the same name, has re-launched Flagship 5.3%, their latest seasonal cask ale.

Described as 'strong, zesty and full flavoured', Flagship is an Indian pale ale with a fruity taste and 'marmalade richness'.

It was originally brewed to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar back in 2005 it has been a firm favourite ever since.

The ale will be making appearances on the bar at the brewery and in Hook Norton pubs across Oxfordshire, including the recently re-launched Castle in central Oxford, the Elephant and Castle in Bloxham and the Eagle Tavern in Witney.

Bottles of the ale, which won silver at the International Beer Challenge in 2012, 2015 and 2016 are also available.

To celebrate the re-launch, the brewer will be giving out free samples on Thursday, September, 28 at the Red Lion in Chipping Norton from 6pm to 7pm and the Fox in Chipping Norton from 7pm to 8pm.

Alongside the free tasters guests will have a chance to meet the brewers who will be on hand to give a unique insight into the beer and brewing process at Hook Norton Brewery.
