PLANS to demolish and replace two buildings within the Oxford Green Belt have been approved.
Vale of White Horse District Council has allowed proposals to knock down a house and joinery workshop in Cothill, and build two larger houses in its place.
A resident who lives in the current house had applied for permission to make the changes near Cothill Road, within the protected green belt.
The council’s planning officers noted in a report: “Very special circumstances have been demonstrated for the acceptability of inappropriate development in the green belt.”
