FISHERMEN and women have been urged to clear up their litter to prevent ‘disastrous impacts’ on wildlife.

As part of National Fishing Month the RSPCA is warning people across Oxfordshire about the effects leaving hooks, weights and line by rivers and lakes, which can cause injury and death to thousands of wild animals every year.

Using a bait box has been suggested as one way to ensure all waste is stored.
