THOSE unlucky in love have a chance to flex their romantic muscles at a speed dating event.
At a time when viewers are glued to First Dates and Love Island of an evening, an Oxford restaurant is now offering the chance for residents to find their significant other.
On Tuesday night The Slug and Lettuce in Oxford Castle New Road will be opening its doors to a hoard of daters.
From 7pm to 10pm they will have the chance to quiz potential matches to find out how compatible they are.
But they only have four minutes to dazzle their dates before the buzzer sounds and they move on to their next victim.
A spokesman for Slow Dating, the organisers of the event, said: “ Four minutes is long enough to see if you click with the person you are talking to and whether you would like to see them again.
“At the end of each date you have a brief few moments to make some notes on the person you have just dated.”
Tickets for the night cost £20.
