OXFORD-based apprenticeship provider Activate Apprenticeships has been selected by Amey, a group of internationally recognised suppliers of public support services, to joint-manage its apprenticeship provision across the UK.

The Oxford firm will join a network of 36 partners to form the Collab Group.

As part of the group the apprenticeships will be delivered through local colleges, working across a wide range of service areas including highways, engineering and management training.

Pablo Lloyd, chief executive of Activate Apprenticeships, said: “We are delighted to be chosen as lead provider, and will bring our experience of complex multi-site delivery to make sure Amey apprentices and business units receive a service which is flexible and consistently high quality.”

Ian Pretty, Collab Group’s chief executive, added: “We are continuing to challenge the traditional approach of apprenticeship delivery by offering Amey and others access to our unique, national managed service model.

“Collab Group colleges are at the forefront of providing highly specialised training to equip the future workforce with the skills to drive economic productivity and growth.”
