ART lovers will be able visit the Ashmolean Museum’s Raphael exhibition after normal opening hours next month.
The Beaumont Street attraction will stay open 8pm on Friday, July 21 for people to see the exhibition entitled Raphael: The Drawings, which runs until September 3.
Art historian Alice Foster will give a talk at 6pm entitled Raphael: From the Sweet Style to the Monumental.
The Ashmolean’s summer show brings together 120 stunning works from international collections spanning the brief but brilliant career of the Renaissance artist.
The museum’s collection of Raphael drawings are joined by works on loan from the Louvre, and the Uffizi galleries.
