OXFORD Bike Week 2017 will take place on June 10 - 18.
As part of Bike Week (UK), the city celebration is used as an annual opportunity to promote cycling and show how cycling can easily be part of everyday life by encouraging ‘everyday cycling for everyone’.
Demonstrating the social, health and environmental benefits of cycling, the national scheme aims to get people to give cycling a go all over the UK, whether it be for fun, as a means of getting around to work or school, the local shops or just to visit friends.
The Oxford week will feature fun and family-friendly events between June 10 and 18, and a few either side of those dates.
The festivities kick off on Saturday, June 3, at Oxford Castle Complex, where the Cowley Road Condors cycle club will have a stall where people can make their own smoothie on a ‘smoothie bicycle’.
