VILLAGERS in Drayton have been asked to cut back shrubs to avoid obstruction.
Residents whose homes adjoin a footpath have been encouraged to help maintain unruly vegetation.
The Rights of Way and Conservation Working Group, which looks after paths and bridleways in the village, made the request in Drayton Parish Council’s annual report.
It wrote: “Please trim back any overhanging branches or shrubs that might be obstructing it. An early clipping is far easier than the prospect of major tree surgery later.”
