OXFORDSHIRE has raced up a care quality league table, a new study has revealed.
TrustedCare tracks the quality of services across the country’s 47 counties and Oxfordshire is now ranked 24th.
This is nine places higher than its December 2016 ranking, where it was 33rd in the care quality league table.
Using data from health watchdog, Care Quality Commission (CQC), TrustedCare’s league table reflects real-time care quality and it is constantly updating.
The percentage of services within each county receiving an ‘Outstanding’ or ‘Good’ CQC report reflects its position in the table.
Nursing home Fewcott House is one of the services in the county to have improved its rating from ‘Requires Improvement’ to ‘Good’ in recent months.
Denis Ciobanu, home manager, said: “We were delighted to receive the ‘Good’ rating from the CQC.
“All staff thrives in making our residents as comfortable as possible to ensure the best quality of life.
“We introduced some new staff to the home bringing a wealth of experience.
“All our staff have worked extremely hard and will continue to do so.”
