A CARNIVAL in its 71st year is calling for boys who would like to be king for the day.

Traditionally Eynsham has a Carnival Queen and attendants who lead the parade and give out the prizes for the shirt race, floats and fancy dress.

This year, however, the organising committee decided the village carnival in needed a Carnival King and male attendants as well.

There are three categories for candidates at the West Oxfordshire event – attendants aged six to nine, attendants aged 10 to 14, and king or queen aged over 14.
