THE date has been set for this year’s Abingdon Marathon.
Runners will be able to register from February 6 for the gruelling 26 mile race.
As usual the course will meander through the town as well as the surrounding villages of Sutton Courtenay, Milton and Drayton.
It will take place this year on Sunday, October 22 at 9am, starting and ending on the Tilsley Park athletics track.
Last year the race was won by Paul Fernandez of Abingdon Athletics Club who took two hours 30 minutes to complete the course.
