THE Archbishop of Canterbury has apologised for the Reformation, which led to three clerics being burnt at the stake in Oxford in the 1550s.
Marking 500 years since 1517, Archbishop Justin Welby said: “Remembering the Reformation should lead us to repent of our part in perpetuating divisions.”
