FIREFIGHTERS were sent to Norfolk to help to support emergencies across the country.
Dedicated crews from Banbury fire station were deployed with their high volume pumping equipment in response to the rising sea levels on the east coast.
Last Friday the teams travelled to Norwich and were briefed for a high spring tide and a storm surge.
Fortunately when the peak times arrived wind speeds had fallen and the crews returned to North Oxfordshire.
