A SCHOOL near Banbury marked its 175th anniversary yesterday.
Sibford School’s first pupil, nine-year-old Lucy Endall, registered on January 16, 1842, arriving from Banbury by carrier cart.
Yesterday nine-year-old pupils cut a birthday cake to mark the occasion before it was shared at lunchtime.
