PEOPLE in Oxford who feel they have been a victim of hatred or intolerance are being encouraged to come forward by Thames Valley Police.
Community and diversity officer Dave Hession of the Oxford Local Policing Area management team said the force was "determined" to tackle hate crime in the area.
He added: "Hate crime is not just about physical attacks - it can take the form of verbal attacks, vandalism, graffiti or online abuse."
At a meeting of full council on Monday, July 25, Oxford City Council is also considering a motion condemning the rise in hate crime since the EU referendum.
