THE height of buildings has prompted the latest protest from residents over the proposed West Way redevelopment in Botley.

Members of the West Way Community Concern group are calling on residents to join them dressed as tall buildings and animals to Fight the Height of the latest plans for the shopping centre.

Developers MACE have submitted a planning application featuring some buildings as tall as eight storeys.

The group is suggesting a 20m upper limit for the new development and will be pointing out to residents how tall some of the buildings will be.

The event will be outside Cafe Aloha, in The Square, at 11am on Saturday.

The public consultation on the plans will end on April 14.
