JAKE Blakeley is not guilty of deliberately burying Jayden Parkinson, a court has decided.

Jayden's mother Sam Shrewsbury shouted at the 18-year-old: "I hope she haunts your dreams."

The pregnant 17-year-old was strangled by Ben in December 2013.

Jake, then 17, and Ben dug two holes - one in a field south of Didcot and the second in their uncle's grave in All Saints' Church, Didcot.

Ben hid the body of Jayden in one and then the other, but Jake said he did not know they were burying a body.

He told the jury that he thought Ben was burying weapons and a dead cat and dog.

After a two-week trial and almost 11 hours of deliberation the jury said they could not reach a verdict.

Because 10 of them could not agree on a verdict, Judge Patrick Eccles dismissed them.

As this was the second time a jury has not been able to reach a verdict, prosecution lawyers said they had no more evidence to offer.

Judge Eccles then said that meant Blakeley, of Venners Water, Didcot was not guilty of preventing a lawful burial.

He is still to be sentenced for perverting the course of justice, which he admitted in court last year.

His sentencing has been adjourned to March 10 at 10am.
