  Blame the Greenies. This and many other roads were going to be dual carraigeways with work starting in the late 90s, but the new Labour government listened to the Greenies and anti-car brigade and cancelled the lot of them. Maybe the Tories will carry out the policy of Majors government now that they have poewr, but the only way is to Lobby Davey Boy himself as I think that this may have happened in his constituency."
