Brookes students continue protest

Protesters at Oxford Brookes University were tonight preparing for their second night under canvas.

About 25 students, calling themselves Occupy Brookes, put up tents and banners at the Gipsy Lane campus on Wednesday to protest against tuition fee rises and the university’s fee waiver and bursary package.

Between 30 and 40 people have been involved so far.

One great thing about this country is that everyone can have their say within the law. That applies to the students at Brookes and to the previous respondent. I would say on merit and intelligence the students have a definite edge. Hopefully, with a decent educaton behind them, they will not come out with such rubbish as so-called Lord Peter.

A decent education at the POLY????. It is now a place for the Sloanie parents to send their kids that can't make Oxford Uni, to get the only degree that thickos can. My god, having a discussion with a St Annes student is as far away from having a discussion with a POLY student as having one with a 3 year old.
