Eighty trees have been planted to celebrate an environmental group’s anniversary.
As the Oxfordshire branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) reached its 80th anniversary members created a copse by planting a tree for every year of its existence.
Land within the new Kingsmere housing development was set aside by owner Countryside Properties as part of its landscaping for the site.
Chairman of CPRE Bicester Bruce Tremayne said: “It’s a fitting tribute to CPRE’s 80 years of caring for and protecting our local landscape.”
