SUMMER fun returned to Finstock as the annual village festival pulled in up to 900 visitors.

The popular event was hailed a success by organisers who said good weather had helped attract crowds.

Festival chairman Pete Welply said: “As always, the belly dancers got a good crowd and the dog show was popular – it was the first year we’ve run it.”

Taking part in the contest was Hazell Taylor, pictured, whose Burmese mountain dog Lewis, left, with Hughie, right, came first.

She said: “It was a lovely day and there were lots of people and loads of different things going on, it all looked very jolly.”

Money raised from the festival will go towards village projects and equipment.
