THE Internet is a wonderful tool and can lead to the most unexpected opportunities: Just ask Tony Ecclestone.
His dreams of stardom with band Straightshooter had long gone after they broke up about 30 years ago with only one (uncharted) single behind them.
But the song has bubbled back to the surface and now Tony and two of his ex-bandmates have seen it re-released by a New York record label, all thanks to the net.
Okay, they have only accrued £36 in royalties so far so but it’s a far cry from his day job at a council.
We wish Tony and his mates all the best at grabbing stardom second time around.
