Thieves steal crematorium's wrought iron gates

WROUGHT-IRON gates have been stolen from Oxford Crematorium.

Thieves removed the gates by cutting the padlock and pulling them off their hinges at the crematorium in Bayswater Road, Barton, on Monday night last week.

The gates, which have a scrap value of up to £850, have black upright poles with decorative gold fleur-de-lis on top of each pole.

They are about five feet tall and 12 feet wide.

Anyone with information should contact police on 08458 505505.
