A 19-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed in Oxford last night.
James Keating-Wilkes, a spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service, said staff received a call at 7.39pm alerting them to the incident at a flat off Oxford Road in Cowley.
Mr Keating-Wilkes said the ambulance service sent two officers in rapid response vehicles, two ambulance crews and the service’s medical director Dr John Black.
Mr Keating-Wilkes said: “We received a call to say that a 19-year-old man had been stabbed in a flat and had suffered potentially life-threatening injuries.
“The man was stabbed in the lower chest and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment.
“It is thought that the patient will survive.”
Vicky Brandon, a spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police, said the attack happened in a flat in Agnes Court, off Oxford Road in Cowley.
She said: “The 19-year-old man was stabbed and was taken to hospital for treatment.
“His injuries were not life-threatening and he was later discharged.
“So far no-one has been arrested and police are seeking two men in connection with the incident.
“The first is of mixed race, 6ft, of medium build and aged about 20, while the second is black, 6ft, with a large build. Both were wearing dark clothing.”
