Man remanded on stairwell murder charge

A MAN has been remanded in custody charged with murder.

Antony Bebbington, 24, of Ruscote Arcade, Longelandes Way, appeared before Banbury magistrates this morning.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Oxford Crown Court tomorrow.

Paul Howkins, 25, of Hardwick, Banbury, died yesterday morning.

He was admitted to the Horton Hospital in Banbury on Monday night suffering serious head injuries, after being found in a stairwell in Ruscote Arcade, Longelandes Way.
