Department store flooded out

Firefighters were called to a department store in Witney today when the shop was hit by flooding.

The flooding at Debenhams, in the new Marriotts Walk shopping centre, covered about 100 square metres and was 1cm deep.

Two fire engines attended at about 2.30pm, and crews isolated the store’s electrics before using a pump to clear the water.

Nobody from the store was available to comment on the cause of the flooding.

Well, if no one comments you can only speculate. Store was closed Thurs morning too, power cut it said on doors. So 'what' did cause the flooding in this 'new' store, in 'new' 'concreted' area. It did rain a fair bit Wed, or didn't it? I can't remember. Is this just an isolated, say water pipe burst (hopefully), or is it going to be a 'flood' risk area?
I'd like to know.
