Fire destroys ground floor flat

Firefighters tackled a severe fire in the ground floor of a house in Headington during the early hours today.

The blaze broke out in the rear lounge of the two-storey detached three-bedroom house in Lime Walk, at 12.25am.

No-one from Oxfordshire Fire Service was available for comment, but it is understood residents escaped unharmed.

seem to know a lot before the papers do? they must be very hot stuff as have two places in headington, and not really funny if someone had been hurt but guess not a problem as still running their show

be very interested to know who your sourse is! as trust me i have my own sourse first hand.obviously a very sad jelous person has done this who needs to get a life preferably outside of oxford. and im not getting at you personally its just sad that people have nothing better to do with their time

Officers raid suspected brothels
Six properties were raided across Berkshire and Oxfordshire by police in an operation targeting suspected brothels and prostitution.

The raids took place in Wheatley, Littlemore, Reading, Newbury and West Drayton on Wednesday.

well i must say if as the papers say and i am quoting,this person had a double barrel and tayzer,its these kind that give a bad name to an otherwise descreet and needed in the comunity buisness,and thank goodness that they have been stoped and lets hope we can bring some order and dignity back into this type of thing, with out getting political about it there is a need for these types of well run clean places as some people have no other outlet shall we say,
