If he'd been more prompt with answering his letters, he might have got a few more votes.
Isis, you are absolutely correct. I have speaking to a lot of people around my area and Harris lost because he didn't answer letters and ignored his constituents.

There are 4 voters in my household alone who voted for him last time. Add to that my relatives with the same response from Harris and you have 28 people!

Easy ride in your second term Harris and we bit back. The dole office will be open today, pop down there!
Meanwhile everyone I've spoken to holds him in the highest regard. At least he did his own canvassing, unlike Blackwood who sent her cronies round to my rellies in Botley instead. Didn't she also fail to turn up to several hustings sessions?"

ELECTION: Evan Harris speaks about defeat

LIBERAL Democrat Evan Harris has spoken after losing his Oxford West and Abingdon seat.

Conservative Nicola Blackwood won the seat by 176 votes just after 4am.

Mr Harris, speaking on a televised BBC interview, said: "I lost by 176 votes. It wasn't comprehensive.

"It was a marginal seat. I accept a week ago we certainly were not expecting it to be that marginal."
