General Election to be held on May 6

The General Election will be held on Thursday, May 6, it has been confirmed.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown has left Buckingham Palace where he met the Queen to ask for a dissolution of parliament.
Witney MP and Tory leader David Cameron said he was delighted the countdown to the election had begun.
