The former Wheatley Park School pupil vowed to fight “burning injustice” outside 10 Downing Street shortly after visiting the Queen in Buckingham Palace.

Philip Hammond has replaced George Osborne as chancellor and the shock appointment of the night was Boris Johnson as foreign secretary.

2. Our top story: Co-workers have paid tribute to "bubbly and fun" Sara McDonald, who was found dead in Shotover Park earlier this week.

The South Central Ambulance Service worker, from Woodstock, went missing after she was last seen in the town on Monday evening.

The 45-year-old's body was found on Tuesday by police and search teams in the Headington park, which officers said she often visited to walk her dog.

Picture of the day: This cute kitten is the latest fragile feline to be rescued from a car recycling centre.

In May staff at Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary in Stadhampton were called by ASM Auto Recycling in Thame after four kittens were found in the footwell of a car due to be crushed.

Now yet another one, dubbed Ruby by the centre, has been found at just five months old and will soon need a loving home.
