Elegant scene remains mystery

THESE women and children posed in elegant surroundings.

But where and when was it taken, and can anyone tell us the occasion?

Those are the questions that Amanda Pratley, of Garsington, would like Memory Lane readers to answer. She found the photograph among family belongings.

The only person she recognises is her maternal grandmother, Daisy Morley, in the second row, third from the right.

The only other clue is that the picture was taken by the well-known Chipping Norton photographer, Frank Packer, who did much of his work in West Oxfordshire. Can anyone shed any light on the mystery?
