Help put names to faces in school photos

HOW many of these children can we recognise?

The photographs were taken at East Oxford School in May and July 1953 and come from former pupil Valerie Sturgess, of Browning Drive, Bicester.

Mrs Sturgess, whose maiden name was Stockford, writes: “We were 12 years old at the time, so between September 2011 and July 2012, we will be celebrating our 70th birthdays.

“I remember lots of names, but it’s putting the names to the right faces – perhaps some of your readers might be able to help.”
