THIS looks like a farewell presentation to a bride-to-be.
A parcel of Earlywarm blankets was handed over to keep the newlyweds warm.
The picture is part of a collection belonging to John Blake, of Appleton, who was a director at Nuffield Press at Cowley.
The Press was founded in 1925 by William Morris, later Lord Nuffield, to produce publicity material for his Cowley-built cars.
We don’t know the names of the ‘bride’ or any of her colleagues, but they were clearly determined to give her a good send-off, whatever the reason for her departure.
