Gosford Hill pupils set off on a charity walk in 1975
THESE children were smiling at the start – but might not have been smiling at the end.
They faced a 10-mile slog in hot temperatures for a sponsored walk in aid of Help the Aged.
The picture was taken at Gosford Hill School, Kidlington, in June 1975.
The walk was expected to raise more than £500 for the charity.
Some of the children had earlier taken part in a sponsored swim, which raised £150 for the same good cause.
