CRAFTS including pottery and lace making were on display in Oxford's Winter Arts Festival in 1974.
The festival was staged that year at the Old Fire Station in George Street and had about 80 exhibitors.
Among them was Reg Mills, working at his pottery wheel as pictured.
It included all sorts of displays such as painting and demonstrations and was put on by the Oxford Area Arts Council.
The festival organiser Ann Strong said: "The festival is organised partly to raise funds and partly to show the public what Oxford's artists can do.
"We have tried to combine still life with action."
