THE naughty girls of St Trinian’s brought a touch of wickedness to Barton Carnival in Oxford.
In real life, they were staff and residents from Townsend House old people’s home at Barton, Oxford.
Their float was taking part in the carnival procession around the estate in 1980.
Hundreds of people turned out for an afternoon of fun which included six-a-side football, tug-of-war, judo, children’s sports, a performance by the Barton Brass Band Consort and the Playbus.
The procession was headed by Carnival Queen Maria Stankowski.
At night, the Havana Boys Steel Band performed in the community centre.
