THESE sharp-shooters, above, from Witney Rifle Club had proved to be the best.
They are seen with the trophies they collected at the club’s annual dinner in 1969. Pictured, back row, left to right, are Mr B Miles, Mr Banks, Mr H Such and Mr E Marin, and front, Mr R Garner and club president Mr J Burford.
WITNEY Rotaract Club held a fun festival, its first major outdoor event, at High Cogges. Linda Keen is pictured, above, trying to hold a steady hand at one of the amusements. Other attractions included steam engine rides, trade and charity stalls and displays by Witney weightlifters and Scottish dancers.
A MAD Hatter’s tea party, above, organised by Witney Ladies Circle in 1969 brought an assortment of headgear. Pictured left to right are Ann Skinner, Jean Blackwell, Margery Mullard and Beryl Cousins.
