KNF, manufacturers of pumps and compressors for the medical industry, started life in the church reading room, but expanded so much that it had to move to larger premises at Witney. Engineer Erick Gill is pictured (above) in 1987 shortly before the move.
MARK Stollery, who ran a fish rearing and stocking business, released 250 carp, tench, roach and rudd into a pond as part of a conservation project. The fish were thriving when this picture (above) was taken in 1986, despite the presence of a kingfisher which had been spotted swooping on the water.
VILLAGERS with all sorts of skills put on a crafts-in-action show at Lains Barn in 1985. Annette Knowles is pictured above introducing her three-year-old son Robert to a hand-made emu.
