THESE footballers were turning from crime-busters hopefully into goal-busters.
They were Thames Valley CID officers from Oxford and Cowley and were taking a break from their detective duties to play a football match. We know the picture was taken in 1986 and we can identify one of the players – retired officer Henry Wymbs, third from the left in the front row, now well known as presenter of the popular Sunday afternoon programme on BBC Radio Oxford, Irish Eye. Can anyone name the others?
