THERE was something for everyone in Thame’s 11th Festival of Sport in 1986.
Events based at the town’s sports and arts centre included a 10km road race, a family run to raise money for heart research, archery, short tennis, gymnastics and hockey.
There were also displays of keep-fit, trampolining, judo, kung-fu, karate and aerobics. The picture shows the start of the 10km race which was won by Paul Eales, of Windsor, in 32min 27sec. Michael Holder, an Oxford runner, was third.
