THESE four employees of a building firm – three men and one woman - were preparing to take a bath together.
They formed one of 30 teams taking part in the National Bath Tub Championships, racing round a lake at a country club near Reading.
The three men were, left to right, Clive Barnaby-Manners, Kevin Bailey and Tobin Layner, who all worked at ARC Construction’s head office in Sutton Courtenay.
The fourth member of the team, Hayley Banzie, is seen with the watering can, preparing them for what might happen in the race – a soaking!
Tobin said before the race that he was confident the bath tub would float.
They intended to use paddles to propel themselves and their craft through the water.
Did they sink? Can anyone tell us?
