Pupils’ gift of art and music to hospital patients
THESE children brought a little colour into the lives of patients at Cowley Road Hospital in Oxford.
Pupils at Shotover Way First School collected £5 at a bring-and-buy sale in 1976 and presented the money to the hospital, which bought a landscape picture.
The children were then invited to the hospital. They entertained the 24 women in the ward with a medley of tunes on their recorders.
