This is the third of five sections of a panoramic picture taken of pupils and staff at the Oxford Central Girls’ School in 1949.
Thelma Dover, of Deddington, whose maiden name was Palmer and who appeared in the second section (Memory Lane, July 6), has named four fellow pupils. They are Jill Sturges and Joan Dover (fourth and fifth from the left in the middle row), and Greta Payne and possibly Esme Harris (eighth and ninth from the left in the second row).
The panoramic picture taken at the school in New Inn Hall Street was bought by reader David Brown, of Jordan Hill, Oxford, from a charity shop.
