I enclose a picture of staff who looked after Florence Park in Oxford.
It was taken in the spring of 1990 and shows them with the winners’ trophy that Oxford was awarded in the 1989 Britain in Bloom competition.
Norman Smith, who is seen holding the trophy, was team leader in the Oxford City Council’s parks department and was well known and respected by so many people.
He is particularly remembered for the time he gave to the boys’ club in Blackbird Leys.
