Mailbag: I was the skipping boy in photograph, says reader
IT WAS nice to see an old photograph of myself – I am the boy skipping in the playground of West Oxford Primary School (Memory Lane, August 3).
However, I was born in 1979, so the date you say the picture was taken – 1973 – cannot be right.
The year was, in fact, 1987.
Also my surname is Timbs, not Timms, but please don’t think I was offended by this as it was a simple mistake for your photographer at the time to make.
