I moved from Oxford to Hampshire about 12 years ago, having spent my childhood living in Rose Hill.

My brother-in-law Mick Jones regularly sends me cuttings from the Oxford Mail.

You published a photograph of the Rose Hill Under-16 boys’ football team (Memory Lane, April 13). I recognised nearly all the players as I played for the Rose Hill under-14 team. Cyril Cooper was manager of our team as well as being a referee.

I enclose a photograph of our team from the 1959-60 season. Micky Hales, who lived in Australia, sadly passed away a few years ago.
